Girl and PupOne More Caption – One More Chance to Win

I hope you’ve had fun with my Caption game. I have. You guys have great imaginations. Maybe you should be writing advertising copy. One more winner to pick this Sunday. So you can get your name in my giveaway drawing hat again to have a chance to win. Winner gets his or her choice of one of my autographed books plus a grab bag book. So far, Diana and Loretta have won. I’m going to get your books in the mail soon, ladies. I’ve been up to my eyeballs in edits this last week.

But here’s a new photo for you to write your best caption. I can’t wait to see what you’ll come up with.

Sunday’s Photo

You had some great captions for Sunday’s photo of my daughter’s dog, Sumo. Kimberli had the one I would have written. “SQUIRREL!” SumoThat’s from that dog in the movie, UP. You might not remember anything else about that movie, but you do remember the dog and SQUIRREL.

But there were plenty of other good captions suggested too. Bacon was good. Not wanting to go to the vet was fun and would have definitely been true for Oscar if not so much for Sumo. Sumo loves the vet office workers. Ann said he was worried about that 4-letter word BATH. That’s something Oscar tried to avoid at all costs.

I liked Marji saying he was taking a selfie. Karen thought he might be complaining about the picture making his nose look big. Could be he would have hit the delete button if he could. I’ve certainly seen plenty of my pictures where I would like to hit a delete button.

Then, Sumo could be doing some public service spots with Karen G’s no texting caption and Linda Mc worried about tailgating. Michelle had him calling “Shotgun” to get the favored front seat. Have you ever done that?

All fun captions and more. Thank you all so much for taking part and making the game work.

Put on Your Thinking Caps for One More Caption

So now come up with something for the girl and pup picture. I’m not sure what I would say, but I’m guessing that you all will come up with something good. Leave a comment here to be entered in the drawing. I’m thinking about picking an extra winner from those of you who have suggested captions on all the photos.

As always, thanks for reading. You’re the best.

Evelyn – That’s the comment I would have thought up. She looks like she has on her begging face to me.

Karen – Your caption made me smile and nod my head. That’s the way it works sometimes. I will say that this particular granddaughter has grown up some since this picture and has a dog. Her parents do expect her to take care of her pet and she does even to cleaning up the occasional messes. But she loves her dogs.

Rory – I like your twist on the caption. She’s not begging for the puppy. She’s happy she has it. Cute.

Marji – I understand about the need for proofreaders or for fingers that didn’t try to type too fast and leave out words. I’m sure you hit the caption on the head too with the lonesome sister puppy.

It just followed me home, right, Deborah? 🙂 Actually, she did sort of just find the puppy in the yard since a neighbor dog came over and had pups in our garage. The grandkids had a great time with those puppies, and I did manage to give them all away except one that I kept for the grandkids. She was a sweet dog, but she went off hunting. Was part beagle, I think. First time she came home majorly injured and rang up a big vet bill. Next time she didn’t make it home and I couldn’t find her.

Thanks for stopping by with your caption, Sarah. It is definitely a realistic one. It is easy to love those puppies and easy for parents to say put that puppy down. 🙂

Hey, Sandi. I think maybe that daddy has already said yes too many times!! Let’s see. We have two dogs, two cats, two fish, two hamsters?, two horses, and a chicken, a rooster and a bunny. What could one more puppy hurt? LOL.

That’s what I would have been saying when I was a kid, Ola. I wanted a dog in the worst way when I was about this age.

  3. Yes, I promise to take care of him, feed him, bathe him, walk him. Please, can I keep him? Pretty Please, with sugar on it?

(Yeah right! That’s what I said when I was a kid – twice. The dogs were given to a family farmer when I get tired of taking care of it. Also, the hubby said it to me, too. He saw a dalmation he wanted and got. I ended doing most of the work.)

Pat H – That girl would try it if she thought it would work. In fact, she does have a dog that sleeps with her. She’s a dog lover for sure.

Doris – Thanks for stopping by to play my caption game. I like yours. Puppies can bring out the love.

Pat M – That does look like a begging look, so your caption works great.

Wanda – Great caption. They do make an awesome pair.

  5. “Can’t we keep him?” He is little and won’t eat much.
I’ll take care of him he won’t be any problem”! PLEASE!!
