Once again the mysteries have all been solved. Thank you so much for playing my mystery photo game and guessing right sometimes and guessing wrong sometimes. Especially that guessing wrong. LOL. I do like to keep at least a few of you in the dark on these pictures.
I had a monumental fail with the typewriter keys. You all knew what they were. Even those you guessed wrong really thought of typewriter keys or adding machine keys first. Well, a couple of you thought it was those conveyor belts.
I did better with the cat’s tongue. I still smile when I look at it and now also see Spiderman’s head. That’s the most fun of the mystery pictures – how it opens my eyes to see what you see when you look at the pictures. I know what the “rest of the picture” is, but I like going back and looking at it through your eyes. I have to admit that there are times I have to take two looks to see what you see. 🙂
Sometimes that’s the way it is with my books too. I’ve written the stories and then somebody tells me something neat they got from the book that I did not even notice as I was writing. Sometimes when my publishers do these great graphics that I can share about my stories, I have some of those aha moments. That yes, that did come from my book and my characters. Both of these are from The Refuge. Revies are beginning to show up on social media. If you’ve posted one, thank you so very much!!
But you all don’t want me to keep chattering on about stories and such. You’re ready to hear about Wednesday’s mystery picture. Okay. So, some of you were right. Great eyes, Melanie, Carol, Una, Paula, April. A few of you others were close with various desserts. By the time I finished reading all your guesses, I was ready for something sweet, what with all the talk of cakes and cookies and cinnamon buns and stroudels, just to mention a few. Several of you saw bacon. And Roma saw what I thought more of you might see. A fish. That’s what I saw. Well, it would have been if I didn’t know what it really was. So, Roma, the two of us think alike. 🙂
But it was ice cream. A fancy ice cream brownie dessert that has my granddaughter looking ready to do a little floating up in the air.
And now the winners:
I picked three winners by random. I give each of your comments a number and then pick the winning number through Random Number on the computer. The lucky readers are Una, Joy P., and Lelia (Lucy). I’ve sent you all e-mails and as soon as I hear from you, I’ll get your prizes out to you.
But meanwhile, thanks to all of you for making this Mystery Photo game one of the best I’ve done. We’ll do it again this summer. Everybody needs a little mystery in their lives.
Did you enjoy the guessing game?
As always, thanks for reading.

All the great answers/guesses had my mouth watering too, Nancy. And my granddaughters had no trouble putting away that dessert cookie and ice cream. I may do a rerun of this picture if I have a add a caption game again.
Always enjoy the guessing game but I would like to be right just once! 😊
Congratulations to all the winners!

Thanks, Paula. So appreciate your encouragement and support.
Congratulations to the winners! This one was hard, and made most of us hungry. Now my mouth is watering for some ice cream!
I’m on chapter 11 of The Refuge…it’s a page turner for sure! I’m loving Darcie’s 1st person account. But I’ll save any other comments for my review later. 😉 (I also enjoyed reading the line about the dog named Ring…my grandfather had a beloved collie with that name.)
Have a wonderful week, Ann!

So glad you are enjoying my new book, The Refuge. I’ll looked forward to seeing your review when you get a chance to do one. Ring is a great name for a dog, especially a collie that can have a ring of white on him.
Those guesses did make a person think food and mostly yummy sweet treats.
