Fun coming your way this week with the chance to win some great prizes in the Christian Fiction Scavenger Hunt. If you haven’t taken part in one of these hunts, then you’ve missed out on a great way to find out about new books and discover new authors. This year 26 authors are taking part with a wide variety of genres from mysteries to historicals to romances. Just look at the great titles such has Husband Auditions and The Mistletoe Countess and Along a Storied Trail. Of course, I had to mention my book. Some authors you already know and love are taking part, but you’re sure to see some new faces or names too.
So what is a scavenger hunt? When I was a kid, my sisters and I used to have fun doing scavenger hunts. We’d come up with clues such as what gets steamed up and blows a whistle. Then we’d hide the next clue in a teakettle and on and on until at the end we might find a prize or we might not. The fun was in figuring out the clue and doing the hunt. We didn’t have the internet to help us come up with clues, but here are some I found for you to figure out. Answers at the bottom of the post.
- I get bigger when I eat but weaker when I drink. What am I?
- What has keys that open no locks, with spaces but no room and allows you to enter but not go in?
- One sheet, two sheets, three sheets, four. Some people use less and some use more.
- I have a neck but no head, I wear a pretty cap instead.
- I start with an “e,” and I end with an “e,” but I contain only one letter.
- Stiff is my spine and my body is pale, but I’m always ready to tell a tale.
- When the wind blows, I wave to you. Sometimes I am red, white and blue.
But don’t worry. The Christian Fiction Scavenger Hunt is way easier than figuring out these. This Scavenger Hunt just has you following the links from #1 to #26 to gather a clue on each site. Then you put all the clues together to make a sentence to enter at the last stop. That’s your entry and you might just be the Grand Prize Winner and have some fun over the next few weeks getting new books in the mail to read. On top of that chance to win, almost all the stops will have a special chance to win more prizes. That means you will have multiple chances to win books and more. Along the way, the posts will be entertaining and fun to read as the authors tell you some of the history behind their books the way I will or why they wrote their stories or well, who knows what, but I can almost guarantee the posts will be fun and quick to read. You have all weekend to make your way through the stops. So no hurry. This is the fifth time I’ve joined in with the fun on these hunts, and while I can’t win the prizes, I have a great time reading all the posts.
So don’t forget to come back Thursday at noon Mountain Time which is 2 p.m. Eastern Time to join in the fun.

Sorry, I hit the key twice.
Unfortunately, I only got #7 right.
I love the scavenger hunts and actually won 4 books from an author the first time I played!

Well, that was the one that I thought I might be able to get right too, Linda Dianne. Some of those were hard. But the Scavenger Hunt won’t be hard. Just fun. Hope you’ll check it out Thursday.
Your riddles were fun; I figured out 4 of the 7. I’m looking forward to the scavenger hunt.

Way to go, Suzanne. I don’t think I would have figured out that many. They are a lot easier when the answers are right there where you can see them. LOL. I hope you’ll enjoy taking part in the Scavenger Hunt. Always fun.
I love Lisa’s Scavenger hunts! I have won the individual authors a few times but nothing last Spring. Maybe I’ll win this time . But I know I’ll have fun anyway! Some awesome books to win , including yours Ann!
I also love your “guess the close up” pictures!

Lisa does a great job of running the Scavenger Hunts, Paula, and making everything fun for the authors and those readers on the hunt. Maybe you’ll have some luck at winning something this time. There are so many chances to win along the hunt that a lot of winners get some new books and other prizes.
Thanks for the riddles, Ann! I can’t wait for the Christian fiction scavenger hunt to start on Thursday! 💜Psalm 110💜

I’m looking forward to the hunt too. It’s always interesting to read about others’ books and their inspiration or the history behind their stories. It’s a busy time for the authors taking part, but a fun time. Glad you are ready to go book clue hunting, Emily.
